yes yes yes

“I’ve come to a frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom.

It’s my personal approach that creates the climate. It’s my daily mood that makes the weather.

As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life miserable or joyous.

I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or heal.

In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or

de-escalated and a child humanized or dehumanized.”

I teach to make a difference

I teach to touch lives

I teach to heal

I teach to make these 7 hours together the most fun, safe, and encouraging hours in their day

I teach to bring life

I teach to challenge

I teach to grow

I teach to love

I teach to change

I teach to accept

I teach to see child-like faith

I teach to see smiles

I teach to allow expression

I teach to broaden worldviews

I teach to bring perspective

I teach to learn

I teach to brighten

I teach to bring out the talents and gifts in another

I teach to give back

I teach to fulfill that which I have been called to.
